A
series of reports projecting year 2000 market trends for the beef cattle,
alfalfa, wheat and feed grains is available on-line through the Center for
Agricultural Business (CAB).
The three reports were compiled last fall by agricultural economics
professor James H. Cothern, a research specialist in economics for CAB; he
presented them at CAB’s annual Agribusiness Management Conference in Fresno,
California in November 1999.
The reports are titled, “California Cattle Outlook,” “Regional
Alfalfa Situation,” and “Wheat and Feed Grains Outlook.” Each document
addresses production and sales trends in 1999 and market outlooks for 2000
based on those trends.
The reports are in portable document format (pdf) files and may be
viewed and/or printed from the “Research Publications” section of the CAB
web site, located at www.atinet.org/cati/cab.
