Another round of international acclaim came to The Center for Irrigation Technology
(CIT) recently when it received an award from the Irrigation Association (IA).
The IA is a world-recognized body overseeing quality standards for irrigation equipment
and systems. During the IA's annual conference and exposition held in San Diego, members
presented CIT with the 1998 National Water and Energy Conservation Award. The award goes
to an entity leading in the development of equipment and systems that improve irrigation
efficiency, not only in agriculture, but in landscape and other applications as well.
"While it is always nice to have your mother say you're doing a good job, it is
something entirely different to have your peers recognize the work of CIT in such a
substantial way. For that we are very thankful," stated CIT Director David Zoldoske
in accepting the award.
